EX1 Product Review – Saira Javed – www.sairajaved.com
After reading the Glamour magazine review by Lottie Winter (beauty editor) it was brought to my attention that the EX1’s Delete Fluide Concealer has been put to the test by stars like Margot Robbie, Paris Jackson and Hailey Baldwin giving them that flawless, red-carpet finish and evidently follows in the footsteps of the brand’s original foundation (Invisiwear), which impressively has gathered a cult following of celebrities for its precision matching and skin-on-skin effect. The concealer is rumoured to match the skin’s natural tones, as well as provide hard-working coverage without looking cakey.
Some of my favourite bloggers on YouTube and Instagram rave about this product but I can be hesitant that is thanks to years of acne, I am so conscious about the coverage that products offer so I have extremely high standards for both my concealer and foundation. For me a Concealer must have the ability to cover under-eye circles without creasing, but still be hard-working enough to provide budge-proof coverage on my blemishes.
So, I finally put the products to test, after using Ex1’s Delete Fluide Concealer and Ex1’s Invisiwear Foundation for a whole week my verdict is
The Invisiwear foundation provides a light in weight but medium coverage, I liked the way it felt on my skin throughout the days, light but a nice enough coverage I used shade (7.0). It promises great value for money. On average it meets the drugstore value for money range. The foundation itself is creamy in substance and works with your natural tones but best works with yellow undertones. It has a matt consistency which Is best suited for the oily skin type and to be honest you don’t need masses to build coverage, I used a flat brush to buff in starting one side of the face and blending before moving on to the other. The bottle is a pump dispenser which is hygienic and not messy like some screw top bottles. Overall a fantastic product, Good value for Money and a fabulous range of colours!
The Delete Fluide concealer product itself is very creamy. The concealer provides full coverage, I did find that it sank into my fine lines but did not look cakey. It has a pump dispenser, so I used a small brush to apply strokes of the concealer then blended it out with a damp Beauty Blender, which worked very well. The shade (5.0) was good I found 6.0 too dark. It wasn’t too yellow or pink, and brightened my under-eye area well. It also says a little goes a long way, which is true, you don’t need to use masses of product to get a flawless finish. From a makeup artist point of view, this will be easier and more hygienic to have in your kit because it’s not a ‘dip in’, and as we know, the Ex1 Invisiwear Foundation is used by many celebrity’s makeup artists, so maybe that’s why they decided on a pump.
A big thank you to EX1 for their PR support. Article written by Saira Javed. WWW.SairaJaved.com
