Saira Javed is a freelance makeup artist with over 14 years of experience in the industry. 

Saira is a proud self-taught makeup artist but, over the years she has gained qualifications by attending many Masterclasses with some of the best in the industry such as Plouise, MMitchel (Instagram famous).   Saira is also a freelance artist for the PCA (Physical Culture Association) Official.

Saira works as a full-time freelance makeup artist and works all year round creating countless bridal looks for wedding parties all over the UK mainly in Scotland and England. She enjoys the opportunity to work on Corporate Headshots/Rebranding, Commercials, Editorials and special events.

Saira believes it is equally important to continue furthering your learning every year by updating your product knowledge and perfecting your craft with the latest makeup and airbrush tends.

Recently Saira had the pleasure of doing Hair/Makeup for Shazia a singer from Scotland who also has Saira feature in her video.  Saira enjoys working on editorials and articles and has worked in conjunction with Radio Awaaz for their Annual Scottish Wedding show and ‘The Wedding and Lifestyle Magazine’, creating blogs for The Id Magazine Scotland and The Alumine Magazine.

Saira has also been the onset hair and makeup artist for commercials with various STV shows and Fashion advertising campaigns where she got the opportunity to work with ‘ex on the beach’ star Talitha Minis and worked backstage for ‘The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice show.

Saira also likes to work as part of a team, directing a team of talented makeup artists at a variety of high fashion runway shows.  Saira has worked on numerous creative editorial photo shoots that have been published in local Magazines.  She has been a guest speaker on the local community radio discussing bridal makeup and hair trends.  Some of Saira’s work can also be seen at IDmagazine Scotland, The wedding and lifestyle Magazine, The Alumine official magazine.

Saira has dedicated a lot of her time to help and guide students all around Scotland by working with Bridge to Business delivering ‘Inspire em’ sessions in which she shares her tips and tricks to be successful within the industry. In doing so Saira was honoured with ‘The local Hero award 2016’ by Bridge to Business for her impressive popular sessions with the students.  Saira also donates a lot of her time and passion to several charity events as a Public Speaker, Makeup Artist and event’s organiser.

Saira enjoys glamming up wedding parties on their special day, and teaching makeup lessons to clients of all ages for personal and professional.
